“The Artist Is Enjoying His Or Her Opening,” is an artistic collaboration between Margueritte Krüger and Miloš Trakilović that sets out to present actual life events as art rather than presenting the illusion of an event. They focus their attention on the nature of documentation (and observation) of passive behaviour, posing a link between the repetitive and minimal in the commonality of the interventions of life. Anything and everything connected to one’s existence and identity can be utilised and put in retrospective against the spectrum of their work, thereby uncovering a wide range of possible ways in which they can creatively engage aspects of life. Their desire to locate and bridge the assumed gap between art and life is often executed through mediums such as performance, performance installation, video and humour.
