Lecture “You Can’t Change China” with Henri Gosen

After his exploration of the history of the Kolenkitbuurt earlier this year, Henri Gosen returns to The Bookstore for the second in his series of lectures, this time about engagement in art and culture.

How, as artist, do you react to that which occurs in the world around you, and what can you do for others with this reaction? The interaction between the artist, his or her work, and the society in which she or he finds his/herself, and how this reflects back upon the work forms the subject of this lecture. Henri looks for inspiration and connections in the legacy of the 1920′s and 30′s.
