I was born and raised in Moscow/Russia, moved to the Netherlands in 2007. In 2011 I got a PhD degree from Eindhoven University of Technology. My thesis deals with the mathematics of images.
In photography school I have chosen direction “fashion photography”, because clothes has always played important role in my projects.
At the moment I am working on a number of projects, where photography is often used as a basic media. The work that comes out is the combination of art & technology, fashion & personal stories, as well as the documentaries from parallel realities.
I am very thankful to the New Collagists (Johanna and Kelly) that they have selected me to join the artist-in-residency program within The Bookstore project. The project is the great opportunity to expand work and vision, as well as to get to know and to cooperate with other artists. Besides it is a new and important experience of interaction with a particular neighbourhood in Amsterdam.
